1. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Create only one account per person. Duplicate accounts may be removed without notice.
• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep it updated.
• Keep your password secure and not share it with anyone. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we believe have been compromised.

2. Acceptable Use and Community Conduct

Make [Her]Story is a community for female entrepreneurs. All members are expected to engage with respect and integrity. You agree not to:

• Harass, bully, threaten, or demean other members or staff.
• Post or transmit spam, unsolicited promotional content, or repetitive messages.
• Share illegal content, including content that infringes intellectual property rights, is defamatory, or violates any applicable law.
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our Services or another user's account.
• Use our Services to conduct any illegal activity or to facilitate illegal activity by others.

Violations may result in immediate removal from the community and termination of your account without refund.

3. Purchases, Payments, and Refund Policy

Digital Products

All digital products (workbooks, guides, PDFs) are delivered electronically and are available for download immediately upon purchase. Because digital products are delivered instantly and cannot be "returned," all sales of digital products are final and non-refundable unless the file is defective or inaccessible due to a technical error on our part. If you experience a technical issue, contact us within 7 days of purchase at [email protected].

Physical Products

Physical products (journals, card decks) may be returned within 14 days of delivery if they arrive damaged or defective. Contact us at [email protected] with your order number and photos of the damage. We will arrange a replacement or refund at our discretion. Return shipping costs for non-defective items are the buyer's responsibility.

Memberships and Subscriptions

VIP memberships are billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and no partial refunds are issued for unused time. Coaching session payments are non-refundable once the session has been scheduled, except in the case of cancellation by us.

Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc., a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. We never store your full card number, CVV, or card expiration date on our servers. All checkout flows use HTTPS encryption end-to-end. By making a purchase, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, images, workbooks, blog posts, podcast episodes, and course materials — is owned by Make [Her]Story or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without our express written permission.

When you submit content to our Services (such as a profile bio, photo, or community post), you grant Make [Her]Story a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, and distribute that content solely in connection with operating and promoting our Services. You retain ownership of your submitted content and may request its removal at any time.

5. Educational Content Disclaimer

All content provided through Make [Her]Story — including blog posts, workbooks, coaching sessions, podcast episodes, and community discussions — is intended for educational and informational purposes only. Nothing on this website or in our Services constitutes legal advice, financial advice, accounting advice, tax advice, or medical advice. You should consult a qualified professional before making any business, financial, legal, or health decisions. Make [Her]Story expressly disclaims any liability arising from your reliance on our content for such purposes.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Make [Her]Story and its owners, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of our Services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of our Services shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Our Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that our Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to our Services at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, third parties, or the integrity of our Services.

Upon termination, your right to use our Services ceases immediately. Sections 4 (Intellectual Property), 5 (Educational Disclaimer), 6 (Limitation of Liability), and 9 (Governing Law) survive termination.

9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of our Services shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date above. For material changes, we will notify registered users by email. Your continued use of our Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
